Trying to Identify this Buck 181 U knife's year of manufacture

The knife is a Buck 181-U. I think it was manufactured in 1988 but saw another similar that was supposedly dated 1998. I don't have the list of dates to lookup the "U" date. It is a very cool knife, ATS-34, liner lock, Spyderish hole opening, pocket clip, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of duplicate posting, use Report Post (the small triangle in the lower left corner) to tell the moderators to move it. Which I already did for this one.
 
That date code is from 1998.
There is a sticky thread at the top of the buck forum with the chart, in case you have others you want to date. :)

Also, the name for model #181 is for the Buck ODYSSEY I
