Hello All,

I've got this VERY nice vintage Imperial trapper knife. Going by the stamp, it was made between 1956 and 1988. Scales are jigged delrin. Beatiful fit, finish and handling. I cannot locate another like it on the web. Is anyone familiar with this and might know something about it such as model number? Help appreciated.

Someone will probably swing by and give you an answer
But you're better off asking in the traditional forum next time

These date to 1973, and only lasted a couple/few years. Model number was #392DE, sadly a google search won't give you much on it. They're closer in quality to Schrades than Imperials. After the couple of years they tried these Diamond Edges, they took a new approach, and put the higher end folders and a few fixed blades under the Double Eagle and Frontier lines, and Diamond Edge went back to being the lower middle line -

Thank you! I looked all over and came up zeros. The quality of this knife is very good. Handles beautifully. Its also a trapper which is one of my favorite patterns.

Investigate previous owners.

As a LEO, I know that 'who' is as important as 'when'. This often leads to learning 'where'.

That knife started 'somewhere'.
