Good day sir,
in my oppinion the quality of photos should go hand in hand with the quality of production. We're trying to constantly improve both. So we bought new photographic table and I tried first photoshot on it. Every feedback and critique is very appreciated!

Thank you for views,
Anna :)

Nice art shot.
Doesn't show off the knife at all though.
Take a look at the photography sub forum here at bf.c.
Lots of good info on lighting your knife, to make it a star, there.

Your picture would not sell your knife. Look at Sharp by Coop's photographs. His style sells knives and I assume that is your photographic objective since you are a knife maker. However, as an artistic photo of a knife, it's a good shot :)

Thank You guys for valuable advices. It was my first try on this table and I tried another one, which should be better. :)

Anna,

Yup, MUCH better. I see you have (3) light sources (droplet reflections). Good. You need a minimum of two directly.

What's missing on this and the last one is the reflective source fo fill in the shadow area.

I use an acrylic mirror with an adjustable angle, but a folded sheet of white paper would get you 75% of the way there. I have an array of five in different angles and sizes which I always use.

This one has a black hole in the lower middle. I'd never allow that. Show it.

You are experimenting twice: Once with dramatic angles and backgrounds, and one with better lighting. Lighting is by far the most important, but I won't underestimate the impact of getting the drama view nailed.

Keep on it. (For inspiration follow Jim Skelton on Instagram. His cell phone shots are magnificent.)

Thank you for your advices, I have Nikon D7000 with lens Tamron AF SP 90mm f/2,8 Di Macro. I have just 2 lights, but they are just regular lamps. :) I am at beginning so I hope my photos will be better with each photo. :D I have also some ideas that are not traditional so I will try them and I will see if they are good or not. My big inspiration is Alex Koloskov. :)
