Trying to locate knife maker in mo with initials JP on blade

I purchased a custom knife at a gun shop in St Charles Mo from Leroy Thompson. I really like the knife but would like to see if I could get the micarta handle changed to a larger one. I have big hands. The initails on the knife are JP. The knife is made of D2 steel and I would say it would be classified as a combat/survival knife. If anyone could help me regarding this, I would certainly appreciate it.
