Trying to make a more useful spinner

These stupid little things ain't dead yet!

So before these things went mainstream when guys like TorqBar and Zero Feud were killing it making these for the EDC community I decided to jump on it with my own little twist. That twist is usually putting a ring on something. Posted a while back about it and that was... fun lol definitely some lively comments. I've always enjoyed karambits and their flipping aspect so most of my tools reflected that. My BeerRambit for example while being quite useful can also double as something to flip without having people stare you with a live blade in your hand. So when the time came to jump in the spinner game I went with that theme; being able to flip and spin something, adding to the fidgetness. However like usual by the time my one-man operation under a staircase could get a batch to market there was Chinese spinners in every store across the country. My simple ringed spinner became irrelevant pretty quick. They had their finger on the trigger ready to start manufacturing the second they had a design. While I scrambled to figure out how much gunpowder to add to a cartridge lol. Now there are so many names in the game it's a bit hard to catch eyes with designs.

So my next venture was to make a spinner that was just; well, more useful. Something people who aren't really in to the spinner thing wouldn't mind carrying. Something that you can actually carry somewhere not loosely in the bottom of your pockets. Most importantly... something that opens beers haha. So after a lot of scrapped designs, changes in manufacturing, and outside help... I've came up with this. The V3 Flippin' Spinner; or the FS Multi Tool. These are CNC made in the USA with US materials and labor going for around $55 shipped.

New R188 bearing for a smaller profile and better spinning, chamfered rings for smooth flipping, and dangler slot to either carry on a belt loop or resting inside a pocket hooked to the edge. Also with a bottle opening jaw where the force transfers to the main body and not the smaller/thinner material areas. The keychain nipples are an option since some people don't like them.

Well, it's pretty enough, though I agree about either making the keyring "nipple" an option, or deleting one of them at least. On second thought- wouldn't putting a keyring on this thing pretty much defeat its function as a spinner?
I hope you haven't priced yourself out of your market, those Chinese are hard to beat on price. Nice job on the design and engineering!

Thought about adding a nut/bit driver? Like 1/4"?
I considered it but I had a hard time finding a proper place for it. Also since the Griffin Pocket Tool guys have a model out with a cap lifter and nut driver I didn't want to butt in lol

Definitely agree the nipples ain't for everyone but I don't think it would defeat the purpose tooo much. I was looking in to more easily detachable rings and while your keys are attached you could always spin the button in the center like a worry stone I was thinking. When you get to your desk or something pop it off and spin away. We'll see about pricing lol the market is getting pretty fickle now and I don't see them lasting much longer (as many people hope i'm sure hahaha) and I can only work with what I have available as far as costs from the suppliers I use and certain outsourced parts of the job being all in the US. This one is sort of my last hurrah in this market before I go back 100% to my next bladed projects heh.

Appreciate the comment! Thank you.
