Heya Becker-Peoples!!,
Ah, well..I'm almost certain I've done just about everything (within reason) with my Bk-11.. :-> I need new ideas. Yup.
Battoned. Made it into a grapple. Made it into a gaff-hook. Made it into a spear. Wrapped the handle. Scaled the handle.
Brought it to hair-popping sharpness. Dulled it intentionally. Brought it back. Cut ropes, cords, packages, boxes, food..
Gutted fish/game. Blah. I need something new to try it out with. No, I'm not going to intentionally abuse it so cutting apart bricks and fridges and mowers is out lol. It spends most of it's time laying by a woodstove, and that little booger has shown very little sign of oxidation and only rarely at that. Even the coating is, well, for the most part, still on and able. I've convexed it. Turned entire 2x4s into splinters. Seriously, it just keeps going and going and going! -_- I even seed-popped an Avocado the other day, just to see if it could crack into the seed and pull it out. Yes, I was THAT bored.
Don't like avocado either, blech. It's funny, as often as I've polished the edge, the blade is about as wide as the day I got it.
I've even learned to wrap my finger in the tang's hole while doing kitchen cutting (meats/vegetables/breads/fruits/etc),
and found it can out perform a good chef's knife in my hands, and I like a good chef's knife in the kitchen. ... -_- ... I think I've used that knife far too many times, lol. It does it all, and more. I finally found my ONE knife. Hell, it even has a wire-breaker and cap-popper (which I also use to lift the plates on my woodstove..lol).
