Thought I'd post a size comparison of the new TSEK LE I just got against along with the limited edition folders in my collection. Guess I got lucky with the TSEK its centered perfectly, I also really like the blue pillars, though I think it would have been cool to make a little more of the hardware blue as well like the AXIS and/or thumbstuds, overall though VERY sweet knife.

First a size comparison, from top to bottom, BM 710, BM 805 TSEK, Spyderco Military

Thanks! I've got 2 more Manix 2s, a para and military spring coming sometime this year as well.

Nice knives, what's your favorite? Just an observation, but BM sure likes putting a lot of text on their blades.

I have an extra Bradley Alias 1 blue thumbstud and I plan to put that onto my TSEK. I think it would complement it nicely. I carry a left handed knife also anyway so I don't mind keeping the TSEK strictly right hand

Tough question, Its definitely pretty close amongst the bottom three, but I think I'd have to go with the Para because of the size, lock, and steel, my para 1 has been my most carried for the last three years, so it naturally fills that spot with the refinements. For me 3.5in blade is just about a perfect size edc. The handle on the TSEK reminds me of black paper micarta on my Ratmandu, kind of the same design and feel.

By the way, most of the text is because they are Limited Edition runs. Albeit the font looks kinda unattractive, it doesn't compromise the function of the blade, so it's all good.

Baby blue or sissy pink G10 handles wouldn't compromise the function of the knife, but how many would Benchmade sell?

Aesthetics are important to most knife buyers and, in my opinion, the text all over the bevel is all bad.

A small three digit number out of the way near the thumb studs would be my preference, as on the RSK Mk1 limited editions.

huh i never noticed that the manix and ritter grip look almost identical. it seems like benchmade and spyderco started at different points but consumer demand led to two very similar products.

Nice pics, thanks

TSEK is a BEAST for certain. I wish Benchmade hadn't pulled the plug on that model. I'd love one in D2, and another in S30V.

I haven't had a chance to use it much, but after reprofiling and playing around with it, M390 seems better or just as good as Benchmade's D2 or S30V. Do you not like M390?

M390 is an awesome steel. I think it's the tip of the iceberg with the knives being released. I just love different steels. So far I have the TSEK, 710, & 556 in this steel, waiting on my 2nd order.

Like your taste in knifes! (have at least one of each model in your photos!)

I spec's out the M390 710, BM 805 TSEK, & came up with the
Spyderco M4 Millie.

Great knifes!

Nice score on those LEs, why so many of each though? I can see having a spare, but 6? Come on, why not give others a chance to own one?

I use one, save (1) or (2), give one to my son & grab (1) or (2) xtras for friends.
By next week, I will probably have three. With zero profit. (if thats what your thinking)
Its just my hobby.
With the M4 806 I kept (4) as it was so damn hard to track down when they came out.

The 805 1001 was one per customer for several weeks in pre-order.
Now thats been opened up.
So, today you can order about 50 today if you like. :D
As I believe about 350 have been spoken for.
