When I was buying my K03 a few years ago, I considered getting their Axicube-I. Besides being pricey, I felt like it was one of those "nice to have" items and decided to continue to use my angle cube. Back in January, I decided to give it a try and ordered an Axicube from Gritomatic. I found it to be accurate and very easy to use and quickly acclimated to it's use. Last week while sharpening a Hinderer, the Axicube went to sleep and never woke up. I finished the job with the old angle cube, but what a pita that was. The convenience of the Axicube was sorely missed. After a phone call to Gritomatic, I shipped them the broken unit and a replacement is on the way. Once you get used to using an Axicube it almost turns into a "have to have".
 
There have been quite a few reports of this happening, best guess is they have a faulty battery sensor because the official "fix" is to let it sit for 1-7 days then charge it overnight and it should come back on.
