TSPROF Kadet Pro clamp issue?

Hi Folks,
I’m trying to decide between the Hapstone RS Black and the TSPROF Kadet Pro. I’ve watched a ton of YouTube videos, and I’ve come across a couple that mention the fact that the clamping mechanism for the rotating blade clamp assembly loosens up after a while, making it difficult to keep the mechanism firmly in place. Those of you who own the Kadet Pro…is this a real problem? Thanks!

I have seen a few people reporting this issue. The spring compresses and grease hardens over time making it not work correctly. You need to clean out the old grease and tighten a nut down to fix the issue I believe.

This is not an issue with the Hapstone sharpeners or the Ko3 model.

Not to confuse you, but also consider having a look at the Kazak M 10, now that they are based in the USA and readily available.
