Hi all

I've just posted a knife on Ebay with all the proceeds to go to the Red Cross for Tsunami relief.

If you aren't interested (or even if your are) I'd sure appreciate it if you'd spread the word. I can't post the pic yet. I've paid for my knifemaker membership but it isn't processed yet. The ebay link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43325&item=6504541265

Many Thanks

This listing (6504541265) has been removed by eBay. Make sure that you've entered the item number correctly.
Please consider this listing and transaction as cancelled. If anybody contacts you to complete the sale, please ignore the request.

Either that's not the right link, or they cancelled it quick.

<sigh> Ebay cancelled my listing because they only accept charitable auctions through their "missionfish" service. (for a small fee). Missionfish only accepts registrations from US addresses.

Oh well. Nothing good comes easy. I WILL find the way to make this happen. My apologies for the false start.

Rob, just put it in the bladegforums exchange, Knifemakers sales. I did this last week and the knife sold in about 30 minutes. Good luck

This was posted by Ripper in another thread:

You can post photos; you just need to upload them to the web using a free host such as http://tinypic.com/.
TinyPic will even supply the vB code tags you need(
) so you can copy and paste it into your reply or you can use the "insert image" button here and paste the url of the photo after you have uploaded it
.

I would like to see it...it'll give it more publicity anyway.

P.S. Thanks for the help ripper! :)

Thanks all. Ebay tells me they'll allow me to post it on ebay.ca if I can get written consent from the Red Cross. I've emailed the R/C asking for that. For those who asked, I'll post the pic - or at least try.

I'll keep you all posted
