Tsunami sheath mix-up: Epic fail OR savings grace?

I recently purchased a Tsunami to add to my collection - when the blade arrived I was pleased. Interestingly enough, I noticed that my new "care package" also came with the incorrect sheath. Instead of the characteristic Tsunami sheath, I received a Seal Pup sheath (I have a Seal Pup blade, so identification was easy). At first I was frustrated… I am a bit of a perfectionist and like things to be as they should. Of course, I tried the sheath out to see if it would work...

After trial, I'm no sure what to do…

The actual Tsunami sheath is nothing special… researching it will show tactical, security issues of the blade - that is, the upper portion of the sheath only has a velcro security strap. The Seal Pup sheath, however, actually has some interesting pros and cons to consider… At this point, I was either the victim of an epic fail OR savings grace?

I am interested in hearing some opinions: keep the incorrect sheath OR return the blade and purchase elsewhere??? By 28 Days Later, I must make a decision:

Seal Pup sheath around Tsunami blade (yea or nah)…

Pros:
Aesthetics & ease of fit - two tactical blades with identical sheaths for contoured fit on m.o.l.l.e. gear (i.e. vest/pack)
Smaller sheath - less bulk & weight (only an ounce or so)
Better security - security strap has velcro and button (on Seal Pup), whereas Tsunami is only velcro
- security strap wraps around handle just below the finger guard… making it impossible for knife to slide out while sheathed
Entry - blade goes in very well and secures easily

Cons:
Blade exposure - approx. 1 inch of the blade remains exposed (above finger guard...)
(...but the pocket strap can be adjusted to protect the flat ground of the blade and the width of the sheath extends past the blade's edges)
Protection of blade - slightly worried about stress on the tip of knife - obviously not a perfect fit
Aesthetic & overall fit - Tsunami handle extends past sheath threshold (this might not be a problem at all)
Removal - With security straps in current position the blade is not easily removed - not suited for self defense

If anyone owns both knives, please put your Tsunami in the Seal Pup sheath and let me know how cr/l-azy i'm being - thanks!
