So picked up this little guy today... I know it's nothing overly special but I was thinking about thinning out the edge with a hollow chisel grind and getting it pretty sharp... anyone have successful modifications to these TT dynamics?

I guess it has a chisel grind but I ment a more dramatic one going to a finer edge.

It's a fine hatchet. Those have great steel and good temper at both ends. I'm not sure what you have in mind with the hollow grind. That will be sticky and less durable under heavy work. I put a shallow concave (brain-fart, I meant convex) bevel on TT claw hatchet and have found it to be an excellent all-around hatchet.

Is it black paint or rustreformer?

I like the look of that hatchet, great score!
I don't think you can go wrong at all with a True Temper Dynamic.
I dont know much about different grinds etc...but i would probably follow the bevel that exists after several passes with WD.

I like that hatchet!
