TTi vs. Ti

Well my birthday is coming up and my friends want to get me something - I'm debating between the TTi and Ti the main difference I care about is the cutting hook, blade steel and price. Does the superior steel and few extra goodies really make up the larger price.
i want the TTi because I like the extra features and it will probably save me from any unecessary purchases because this is the newest and the best. However the Ti is cheaper and will easily fit my tasks - but it might lead to further purchases when the new models come out.

And does anyone know a good site that ships to Aus with good prices.

Since it's your birthday and you are not paying for it. Get the TTi!:D

I prefer the TTi over the Ti anyway.
 
Get the one you want! I personally would go with the Ti, since I like scissors more than cutting hooks. Also, I'm not at all a fan of the crimper plier head. It doesn't seem very useful at all, and you loose the flat part of the pliers, which IMO reduces their function quite a bit overall.
 
Has anyone with the new TTi and new wave or ti compare whether the price jump justifies it. And im still interested in good sites.
 
Scissors are way more useful than a guthook for me. Charge TI fits the bill, and I like it quite a bit more than either of my old Waves (orig. and 2004).
 
but both the ti and tti have scissors.

anyway my friends have already ordered the TTi for me.
 
I have the Ti. Quality is fair at best. The LM's are rattle traps. Buy a Victorinox SwissTool model of your choice, and live happily ever after knowing that you bought the best tool in the world.

Sheaths on the other hand...
 
Tti has both the cutting hook and scissors. The hook is on the end of the serated blade. I use the hook more than the scissors so i like it there. The crimpers do reduce the gripping area on the pliers, thats the only thing i didnt like about this one. I dont crimp much. I can tell that everything is heavier duty on this one.

I saved a little money buying my charge tti new on ebay. I didnt really care that this one cost more than the other models. I use it contstatly every single day so i dont care, the extra feature will more than pay for itselt over the years and its nicer.
