Anyone have any experience with the TTN 12 gauge side by side coach gun? This one has external, actual working hammers. They have caught my eye lately. About all I know is the cool factor is high.:D

That is sweet looking ! but when I see these shotguns , I wonder why it took them so long to realize that it is a pretty ineffiecient gun for defense comepared to something along the lines of a 30-30.

do you mean from an actual stagecoach, or as it would serve someone now?

i have a stoeger, hidden hammers, and it sure is fun to shoot!

Basiclly a Chinese copy of the 1878 Colt. The firearms out of China had a reputation for hit and miss quality some years ago but have improved quite a bit in recent years. One of the most common problems with them has been sticky chambers, easy enough to cure with some judicious polishing. The guns seem to pattern fine and have had little other mechanical problems.

As far as using it for home defense I and not a fan of the two shot aspect but for sheer intimidation it can't be beat.

Wow,

Looks great in a short barreled 20 gauge for grouse.

Course them hammers may catch on the brush and pull back...:(

Where can I learn more?

2 things
1. be careful about the hammers getting cocked accidentally, you can end up dead
2. i know you want to but don't touch off both barrels at the same time it's bad for the joints where they are put together.
no go have fun.

I've got an old Stevens 12ga hammerless,it was my Grandfathers,he had it converted to a single trigger. He used to curse that gun,it was notorious for firing both barrels.I do carry it occasionally, with low brass shells,it doesn't work bad.(I did a fair amount of hunting with that gun and always loved it,it's a couple inches longer than the one in the OP.

case in point dude pulls shotgun toward himself across a truck seat {yeah i know stupid but what can you say}, hammers are pulled back by the seat but not enough to catch the sear, gun discharges dude ends up going to the hospital with a good size hole in his chest. dude in this case didn't die but if the gun had been loaded with buck instead of bird we'd have been throwing dirt in his face. most people aren't used to exposed hammers on shotguns these days and they do require a little more care.
