Very nice pieces today, Yangdu. You've ended the dry spell with a bang. Like the Samsher and M43.

Wow those are beautiful.
Those walnut chiruwa handles have a lot of character.
Congrats to those who scored.

Hey Jimmy!! Didn't you get one the other day that was about this size? No fair! :D ;)

Actually, I have been thinking about that one, and it occurred to me after the fact that the one you got last week was the first samsher without a full tang. Come to think of it, it is quite a bit closer to the Junge specs (20" and 32 oz. is "standard" for the Junge) but with the Samsher SOS and look to it. Great old Bura knife, and this one by Khadka will make a great match to it.

Wonderful comeback today. I considered the Samsher as well, but have one that is about the same length and just slightly heavier and couldn't really justify it.

Congrats on a great snag. Now, under forum rules, you can't buy anything else for the next two weeks OK? ;)

Yep, and somebody jump in and correct me, but I don't think I _ever_ recall an M43 by Sher. (?) I've had them by Amtrak, Bura, then a whole slew by Kumar, and now Vim is the M43 guy, but I just can't recall any by Sher. (Of course there could be a ton of them and I'm just getting senile...?) Bura's usually have the longest handles, and Kumar's the shortest. Vim has the best formed M43 blades IMO.

Actually, with this long slender blade and handle it reminds me more of Sher's one off 18" Katunje that he did last year that sold with stand in about 5 minutes. The only big Katunje made to date.

Well, it's a good thing I have ones very close to each of these, because I totally missed seeing this deal.
