I received a shipment of Knives made by new craftsman, Nabin Rai. He learn to make Khukuri from Kamis. Nabin Rai made these Knives months back and nice to have other cast can make sharp blade.

My father always worked with Kamis and he calls Nabin Rai "Rai Kami".
A group Knife came with villager fit and finish sharp blade carved wood handle and leather sheath. B group knife came with villger fit and finish sharp blade with carved wood handle and sheath.

This evening I am offering A group Knife for your collecton at great price.
When you put the knife back in sheath you will have to tap the sheth tip two or three times so blade will go inside the sheath better

$ from Rai Kami Knife sales will go for a shop rebuild and help the Kamis who lost their homes in a recent earthquake disaster.

Nabin Rai and my father Kami Sherpa

Got the DD from Auntie on #5.

I love the lines of the knife, but I can't tell what the handle carving is from the photos. Anybody care to guess???

Should be Garuda or Garud as mentioned in the post. Think there is HI model on the HI website for this style of handle

Thanks for the info guys!

Having read over the Wiki link, I'm even more jazzed about this knife! :D

What fantastic drop to the blades! Everyone with a cool carving! I picked up 4 kukris last month or I would take at least three. Someone is going to get great deals, that is for sure.

I like the carved handles but I use my knives more than I collect them and I feel like I'd bugger it up. Love the blade shape and cho though!
