Nice work, Ray. I love your style. Nice piece in Knives '07 too!!

edit to add: BOTH pieces in Knives '07 are outstanding!

You do the Nessmuck as nice as any I've seen, Ray. Cool knife!

Looks like you jumped in the waaaaayyyy back time machine, made the knife, and came back here to show us. How freakin cool is that knife!

I usually dont like Nessmuck styled knives, but this one is just beautiful. The blade, stag, flow...all just great. Best Nessmuck i've ever seen.

Thanks for the kind words! I did a search a few days ago just to see what Nessmuk's looked like by other makers and what I saw was pretty gross. Most are whambammer's. I put the same amount of time into my Nessmuk's as what I do with my other knives and that turns out to be alot. There's alot of time just spent looking at the knife. All my knives are threw tangs. The end of the tang is threaded and the thing with the ring in it is a nut. I can put the knife together and take it appart as many times as needed. The ring allows me to hang it so I can view it from all angles. What I do need to do is tie a string onto the ring so I can find the knife when I'm do with it. At this time I have no idea where it is.......

Nice that knife does look like it is a 100 years old. I love how simple you went on the blade profile and edge. It truely does look like its from a 100 years ago or longer.

Ray,
I love the fit of the nut on the stag! It appears to grow out of or even actually be an extension of the stag. It's like the nut with the ring was on one way cool deer, with an antler piercing, kinda like the kids today with their piercings and nipple rings and such. Very nice work!
