Tuf-Cloth...Long Term Worries???

I have been exclusively using Tuf-Cloth & Tuf-Glide on all my knives for about a year now.
I have only the word of magazine editors, fellow forumites, endorsing companies, & Sentry Solutions themselves regarding the quality of these products.
I figure that this many people couldn't be wrong.
Especially fellow forumites!!!

So, having said that, I still am concerned for the long term care of my collectible knives that are in storage.
If the product works as good as stated, everything should be OK.

But, how does anyone know this???

They haven't been around long enough for a long term study/test.
I just don't want to find all my knives have turned green or something after 50 years of repeat coatings of Tuf-Cloth.

Does anyone else think/worry about this or am I just a little paranoid???

Rap,
Just maybe a wee bit paranoid.

I think it will be just fine.

Most of my collectables sat in my safe deposit box completely unprotected for four years until i got a display case. No rust at all.
Put them away clean and dry and they will be fine.

AR15,
I too have left a few knives unprotected for long periods of time without any damage. I used to just wipe every knife down with a soft cloth after use. Never had any problems with stainless, but carbon sometimes shows slight surface corrosion. (I do know that carbon knives will form a slightly darker patina over time)

Also, you do have to be careful where and how knives are stored.
I.E.Dampness and chemiclas could be real bad for a collection.

I know for a fact that long term (and sometimes short term) sheath storage can be a big No-No!!!

Some tanned sheaths combined with high carbon knives cause some pretty nasty damage.

Thanks for your input.
