BTW, got this yesterday and am really impressed with the value and design.

Question I have is, what does the blade ride on.....bronze bushing, teflon or just the Grivory? Not a big deal, since if the knife ever wore out, I'd just buy another...I mean, it was $34 including shipping.

I think the Tuff Lite has bronze and Teflon washers...
I may need to double check that though, I've never taken mine apart :)

The Tuff Lites (I've had both my mini and regular apart) have no washers. There are little raised circular areas molded right into the Grivory where washers would normally be. If you wanted washers you could sand these down and put washers in their place, but they'd have to be VERY thin. I've used the heck out of my full-sized Tuff, though, and it's never developed any side-side play, so I think the molded-in "washers" are quite sufficient.

edit: I'd say that sanding these areas down and adding washers would probably be a good fix, however, should the knife ever develop side-side play. I think knifekits.com has bronze washers in .005" thickness, which is probably about what would be needed.

Thanks...the knife is so cheap(yet a great value), it would be easier to buy another.

congratulation on having bought a fantastic best kept secret.
it's a "sleeper" model most tend to skip.
ergonomics are excellent and far exceeds expectations for its price and value.
i hope it serves you well.

I use both the Tuff Lite and the Mini Tuff Lite all the time - useful for cutting just about anything, and definitely "sheeple-friendly" if that is a concern. They cut out of all proportion to their size. They also have a little evil built into the design if you take advantage of the different grips the ergos are set up for. My sister works in an office environment and wanted a knife she could use in the workplace and also double for SD. I gave her a Mini Tuff Lite and showed her 3 different secure grips she could use. Result, very happy sister, and no panicked "sheeple".

Looks like I may have been mistaken. I'll try and take some time to pull one apart when I can to get a definitive answer for you.

I think you'll like the knife a lot. It's super popular here at CS HQ and it's slowly becoming a fan favorite.
As GIRLYmann said, it's an awesome "sleeper" model....people are only now really realizing how great that knife is.
I was super excited to get that knife having spent time playing with the early prototypes and it didn't disappoint. It's one of my favorite Mouse Knives, and one that I give as a gift often.

Thanks again for choosing Cold Steel and apologies for the unclear info. I'll do my best to remedy that ASAP

No problem, and I appreciate the time you put here.

I bought a Tuff-Lite a year or so ago and I love it. Freaking great blade that holds a great edge and is easy to sharpen. I love how awesome the handle feels in hand. I carry it quite often.

Great knife.
