Tuff Lite/Mini Tuff Lite questions

I've been looking over mine and wondering why the MTL has the slight edge angle that the TL doesn't, and if that angle change might not make the TL even better. One other thought occurs to me--wouldn't the MTL with its clip removed make an outstanding neck knife in the open position, secured by the choil?

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.

The angle helps put the blade into a better cutting position on the small knife and keeps your fingers from hitting first. Buck does this to their excellent Woodsman 102. It would make the TL even better, in my opinion.
