I am looking at getting a Tuff, but would like to find out a little more before buying.

How long ago did they come out? I don't see a lot of guys talking about them, are they selling enough of them to get a good data point?

For the guys who do own the knives, how do you like them? How is the 3V? Thanks for the help guys, Josh

It truly lives up to its name. It's a big knife built for hard cutting chores.

I think mine is going to be a year old if it isn't already.

Only complaint - the edges of the opening hole and the edges of the knife were sharp - but it's an easy fix with a ceramic stone to take that edge off.

Talk about a knife! God damn! This thing is a tank!!!! I would highly recommend buying one, and anyone who says that this knife isn't butter smooth is crazy!

I love mine, its definitely a bigboy. 3V is great, my only complaint is its lack of corrosion resistence as I am on the coast. Not too much of an issue but still it requires more attention then most of my other knife steels.

i recommend it.

Just got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it! Very hefty blade stock and 3V is one of my favorite steels around. I really hope Spyderco makes more knives with it. Highly recommend the Tuff!

Man, those are some good reviews. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. And now we wait. LOL. Not to be a tool, but would anybody like to comment on how durable one is compared to a Strider? I am getting one of the two. This looks like it is winning.

Also, what factory do they come out of? I got my first Gayle Bradley tonight, and that thing is really really nice. I realize it's a "work" knife, but it is on par with much more expensive knives. Thanks again guys, Josh

The Tuff is a Taiwan made Spyderco.

I was sold on it after reading an in depth review on another forum. It was beaten hard and never missed a beat. Great knife for the price.

Same one as the Bradley, correct? Isn't that factory, known for putting out, arguably the finest Spydies? It's in my near future for sure. This one got put on the short list. Maybe a back up as well.

What happens, if you have a problem with one? They can't fix it here, nor do they have parts. Just curious. Josh

If a knife this well built fails under normal use and the warranty conditions haven't been violated I have little doubt it would be made right, no matter where the knife was made. Especially since it's still in production.
