A friend has decided to trade off his wife's old Cricket. It's of the earlier grey Tuffram/GIN-1 configuration. It is not mint, however. Any thoughts on what he should expect to get?
Thanks,
Brian

I have a PE in similar condition. The Tufram Crickets have gotten scarce but not rare by any means. MOST production knives are users.
Take care,
Matt

Hawkbill,

I'm with Jazzman on the scarce part. You will have to decide on its perceived rarity. These guys are going for $60 - 80 on e-bay, when you can find them. Rescalers like SFSW and Frank Recupero also prefer these little guys for adding their custom scales and filework to. They are a collectible among Spydie aficionados and they are still available new from overseas sources like Hamonoichiba.

If you can get a good trade, and I can't speak for you what you feel is worth it, go for it.

There is no plan to reintroduce the Almite Crickets but a slim SS scaled Cricket is in the works for later this year or early 2003.

Best of luck and if you need info on Hamonoichiba, let me know and I can steer you to Naohiko Hasegawa and translate some for you.

Thanks, guys. This helps me to give it's owner a fair assessment of market-worth (along with searches like ebay). I appreciate the comments.
