Tuffram Love?

I just acquired my first Spyderco Tuffram knife (a Civilian.) I really like the aluminum neoprene combination. Does anyone have insight as to why Tuffram is now extinct? I would buy some Tuffram Spydies instead of the ubiquitous black G10/FRN/stainless steel.

I would guess it was because the aluminum dents easily.

Just guessing but I'd bet it's just giving the customers what they want. I wouldn't buy any Tuffram knives myself. Don't like the stuff.
