there's Pekiti Tirsia guys around Chicago...they just don't go public.
i've studied Pekiti Tirsia before...especially when Guro Dan used to show it often when he used to come around here.

those were the good old days.

Tuhon Bill is a class act and if you get the chance to attend his seminar you should definitely go.

If you go, ask him if he brought his training music with him...

Best,

Steve Lamade

Hey guru Mike, are you the one bringing in Tuhan McGrath? Do you bring alot of people in, or are you starting to? Thats cool for sure. Dennis told me that he handed the reigns of Aubon Baet to you, and that you are the one bringing him in now so Dennis can keep with his triatholon training. Dennis is a good guy, but he's a nut with all that triatholon stuff. He is a gluttun for punishment, and he has my respect. Illinois kind of sucks for seminars these days. We are so limited for our choice of seminars these days. Nothing against Ron Balicki he is damn good, but he is the only jkd teacher that realy comes here anymore. Dennis and his mane muda days are over. Its kinda quiet here now. You should bring in more people. I hope I get more gumtion sometime and try to bringing in someone, sometime myself, but I know its alot of work. Atleast your keeping Chicago alive.

i'll try my best armbreaker...the hardest thing is to get people to support seminars...no support=no $...no $=no instructors.

i reluctantly accepted the position...but really i think i was suckered into it. :) j/k Dennis is good peoples. just different priorities now. what you can do is challenge Dennis...call him out. he'll come out swinging. :D

Ron was just in town last weekend...we're instructors under him also.

please email me...i have some questions for you. ekim60618@yahoo.com

Bring in Richard Bustillo or something, or Larry Hartsell. Maybe even Jerry Poteet. We need more variety of jkd. Nothing against Ron or anything. I think he is damn good. I took some kali lessons from him back at the old close range combat academy. I trained with Ron a few times, mostly in kali though. I was a long time student of Randy williams back then. Thats where I first met Dennis and those guys, although I never realy talked with them much. I was more on the wing chun side. After Randy moved away I got into the Paul Vunak stuff. I hit some Hartsell and Lucay Lucay seminars. I also trained with Jessee Glover a couple times, but none of these types come around anymore. I plan on trying my hand at bringing in someone sometime, not sure when though. I've been talking about it for along time. I will just have to force myself someday.

Seeing as how the seminar is tomorrow, and I haven't paid yet....would it be better for me to pre-pay over the internet today, or just pay cash tomorrow?
