The Wannamacher's Tulsa Arms show is coming up in less then 2 weeks, April 5-6. This is billed as the world's largest arms show. Almost 4,000 tables and over 11 square acres of air conditioned browsing await. I have been to both the fall and spring show every year for the past 3 or so years, and generally made at least 1 of the 2 per year for the past 8 years. Everything you could possibly want is at this show. The show operaters limit the number of non-knife/gun related tables to being very minimal. This is not a junk auction, this is a great show with lots of high quality products. Everything from the latest technology in personal defense to old antiques can be found.

We generally meet on Saturday morning before the show opens out in front of the building on the South side next to the statue of the big driller. I know I will be there with some knives to show off and stories to tell.

So, who is planning on going this year? If you guys would like to suggest an alternate meeting time and maybe a luncheon get together we can do that as well. I'm open for about anything.

Here is the website if you would like to check it out. It also has a map for directions to the show: www.tulsaarmsshow.com

I'll be there, with the same table as always. Downstairs, directly off the middle aisle at row 13. Hope to see a bunch of you folks there!

I'm planing to go!

Jeremy, I'm normally not up to early on Sat.
but about what time are you talking?

Danbo, I'll try to stop by and say Hi! :)

We generally meet about 8am before the doors open out front. However, a lot of the people that meet can't go more then an hour or two without going outside for a smoke breaks, so we could meet at another time later in the morning or afternoon if people wish. I don't smoke, but I'll be happy to come back outside and play with knives. That is unless I am talking a guy down to $700 on a 98% condition non-refurbed P7M8 with 3 mags again. :D I'll never be that lucky again, but it's always fun to try. I don't plan on spending a lot of cash this year, as I'm saving up for Blade in Atlanta. But, I say that every year and always find something to buy.

Back to the original topic. I will still be there between 7:30-7:45AM on saturday for those who want to meet early. Getting to the show early is the best bet, as parking truely sucks and fills up fast.

Another piece of advice: Do NOT turn on 21st street to go to the front enterance of the building. Stay on Yale and go North towards 11th street. You can turn into the horse track entrance that is about 13th or 14th and Yale on the west side of the road. You can park in the infield of the track and ride the shuttle for free to the front doors. Or, you can go all the way down to 11th street and turn back West and enter through the back enterance. Both of these ways are much much faster then entering down 21st street. Every year I see traffic backed up for over 1 mile on all three sides going towards the front enterance, and no one is heading in through the horse track. It saves me a lot of time and I can get a semi-descent parking spot by getting there early.

I'll probably be there at 7:30ish.

I work near the fair grounds they are working on
the track and the packing back near the small barns.
I'm not sure your advice will work this year, Next time I
go by I'll try to have a look-c, and by show time they may have
finished doing what ever they are doing.

Oh, and it's more like 18th and Yale, Not 14th. ;)
Good advice by the way! :D

I might be there. My cousin was wanting to know if I wanted to go help him out with his table. Not sure if I'm going or not though.

Dang it, Burchtree. Ya live pretty close. About half as far as I do. I sure hope ya make it! If you dont show up, I'm gonna have to come to Springfield and beat you with a rubber chicken! :) Seriously, It would be nice to put a face together with all these posts.

I'm hoping to be there, and hoping JR's advice still works. I missed meeting people in the morning, but talked with several knife makers that day, and had tons of fun. And the info from JR is GREAT advice if the track entrance is open.

I'll be there, but not early, as I will leave Eureka Springs that morning. I'll be wearing my Knife Show shirt (an old T-shirt from my Dojang for TKD) Black with "Millenium" and some Korean Characters on the back in bright colors. Stop me if you see me.

If I go, I'll be the scrawny Chris Elliot-looking bastid with receding blond hair, beard, and goofy black eyeglasses. I'll wear a black long sleeve shirt and jeans.

I am super excited for the show! I am going to drive in from Texas Friday night. Any idea on which custom knife makers are going to be there?

I was planning to go, until the military decided to send me away for a while. Not that two weeks in Germany is a rough deal, but the timing could be better. Sorry I missed you all, hopefully next year.

Ok folks I don't usually make to the very top part of the forum but I have my ticket and will be there. I have been at least once for years but this will be my first as a Schrade-aholic or addicted knife person just joined the forum back in Jan. Maybe I,ll get to meet some fellow BFc's. Oh and btw the advice on north and east and now maybe west side since the amusement park is gone is to be heeded!! The last time I was up there the lot directley N. of the building was the SH....S!!! they are doing alot of construction beware.
Thanks and see ya there!!

What time do the crowds usually start hitting the Expo Center? I was planning on being there between 4 and 5am to get at the front of the line to get in.

Also.... Thank You Argel for the list of guys attending..... I have been spending my whole morning researching the makers
