Tulsa Gun/Knife show this weekend?

Hey Danbo, if you buy me a Smith and Wesson 642 with Crimson trace grips for Christmas, I'd be your bestest buddy forever! ;) :D

You're driving from Illinois to Tulsa? Wow. I thought driving north of KC (1/2 hour) for the show near the airport was far enough!

... Though I enjoyed the shows down by Banister Mall (south/east KC on 435) And that's about an hour away.

Would the Tulsa show be worth making a roadtrip for?

The Tulsa show is unlike ANY gun/knife show you've ever been to. HUGE! Think about the size of the K.C. show, and multiply it several times to get an idea. It's two levels, each level is bigger than the K.C. show. It's so huge, that if you see something you're thinking about buying, you'd be wise to stand there and work out the deal. Otherwise, you might not be able to find the table again!

If you can't find what you're looking for at the Tulsa show, I'm guessing it ain't to be found. :)

So, yes, it would be worth making a roadtrip for. That's exactly what I'm doing, and I don't even have much money.

I've done the Tulsa Wannenmaker show several times in the past. It is worth the drive from KC. Unlike some Gun N Knife shows, this one actually has lots of knives. There are literally several acres of tables (4000 tables? I think) The only problem I have is with the parking. If you show up a little later around 11-12ish, you can probably find closer parking, otherwise you're out in the boonies, or you have to get there mighty early.

I usually head on down to NW Arkansas, stay the night before with my parents, then drive over to Tulsa first thing in the morning. I've left at 7 to get there by 9, and leave around 5:00. So, 8 hours, and still not enough time to see all the stuff.

Bring a small carryable folding chair, or stool, if you can. And forget about leaving for lunch. Just bring an extra $5-10 for the chili dogs, burgers, or funnel cakes. Bring your own bottle of water, and fill it at the water fountains, otherwise you'll be paying too much. The vendors are usually a group of Eastern European youngsters, some of them pretty cute.

I'll be there in the spring.

Hey, if you do get down there, Grim, could you pick up a pound of the XXX hot sausages for me? Hopefully the vendor will be there. He usually has a large variety of stuff, and the HOT stuff is my favorite.
