Ok, heres the deal. Its a gun and knife show, but its so HUGE that it probably has more knives than most knife only shows. This show is about 12 - 14 acres, yes acres, of guns and knives. Ok, you can get to tulsa, right? The easiest way, when you get to Tulsa, get off of I - 44 at the Harvard exit. Head north about 3 miles to 21st street. Turn east, go almost a mile, when you see the HUGE statue of the man( tulsa driller) you are there. Enjoy.

Oh yeah, I think the times saturday are 8am (maybe 9am) 'till 6 pm. Sunday starts at 9am and goes 'till 5 or 6 pm. Hope this helps

This is straight from my invatation card. If you fill out the ticket you get at the door for the drawing then you should get a heads up for the next show.It used to be that the card was $1.00 off on admission, but now it says bring it for the free drawing.
It also cost a buck to park now.

I like to get there after the morning rush.Usually about 9:30 or so.
If you go Sunday the dealers many times start pulling out early and some real deals can be made.

Saturday is te best day in my opinion.I hope to get to meet some of y'all thar.

I don't have one of those. I will be wearing a Lynn Griffith Knives t-shirt. Hope to see you there. I will be on the lower level. I am sharing a table with a friend of mine, so I won't have my banner up.

Lynn:
Looking forward to meeting you too.
I went to the next to the last Metcalf show and although Newt Livesay was there I didn't get to meet him. That was probably the high point of that show. One dealer had some real nice Lile and Randall pieces with prices to match.I found most of those pieces much to large for even what most people call fighting knives. These were in the large Collectable Bowie type range.

There wasn't even a real nice.....
Well enough of that.I swore once before I wouldn't go to any more of the shows they put on.I was desperate this time though and hopeful.

Wanenmachers is always nice or has been until now.I am anxious to see if the new laws has made any considerable differences in Joe and Kathy's effort.I have only met Joe a couple of times, but I have known his wife Kathy since 1983.Good people!

Chief and Richard:
What day are you guys going? I am going Saturday if nothing comes up.
It would be good to met some fellow forumites.

Take care and feel free to e-mail me if you want.

Met Lynn Griffith and his lovely wife today at the Tulsa Show. He was real friendly and explained the details of his work. I really liked his larger knives but his smaller knives just aren't my style. His pieces are perfectly balanced with great feel.

Kodiak PA, never mind the wet spots on your knife from Lynn...its just my drool.

Was a HUGE SHOW! Spent over 4 hours there and only saw about 1/3 of the stuff. More guns than knifes but it was a gun show after all. My buddy bought a real nice handmade custom hunting knife by Don Parrish, beautiful fit and finish and unbeatable price. Met Jim Davis from Sun Valley who had a big selection of antique autos and was very friendly. Was real impressed with the pearl handled knives of Henry Parker, add them to the must have list. Met Janie Stidham who had a nice selection of customs and was very knowledgeable. Overall impression, excellent show for a gun show. Got to check out lots of Daltons and others I hadn't seen before. First time to play with a HALO III and they are sweet.

Just wanted to say that it was very fun meeting some list members at the show today. Cheif, thank you for stopping by. Also thank to ysva , for stopping buy and playing a song for me and my wife, on his cane/flute. He very talented. I also met several others today from the list, however it is late and I am not remembering all of the names. Was still great to meet them. I have also mentioned Bladeforums.com to a large number of people today, so possibly they will check it out. If you are coming to the show tomorrow, maybe I will get to meet you then. I am on the lower level.

Hey, Kodiak -

You'll have to wipe my fingerprints off your blade once you receive it from Lynn as well. Great balance and heft! You're really gonna enjoy this knife!

White Bear,
Glad to get the oppurtunity to meet you yesterday. Sorry about blasting your boys ear drums with the ringer on that 2-way radio.

Kodiak,

Working on your knife some more today. It will ship around the end of this week, or on Monday of next week. I am looking forward to you thoughts of it, and of your newly aqcuired "Sniper".

Talk to you all later,
