Tulwar?

What info can you give on the Tulwars? I spotted them in the long knives pic and liked what little I could see. Any info (specs, prices, history, etc) would be much appreciated.

These are the new and improved BirGorkha tulwars -- kamis call them tarwars. I'll post specs, pix, and price when they get here.

Chiro, 'tulwar' is the Indian name for that curved sword. The real main difference is the handle, a lot of Indian models have a handguard and are one handed. Around 28-32" they come in basically 2 lengths, a "Naval" (fighting on ships) and the standard version. They can thrust and chop but are best for cuts and slashes.

Thanks for input, Smoke. Many Indian and Nepali words are very similar but not exactly the same and the word for the short sword is one of these -- tulwar in India, tarwar in Nepal.
