Hey fellas,

I'm sure some here have had experience with tuna valley knives. They look great but I'm not sure I can justify the 300ish price point for retail. What say you? Worth the price of entry?

ah, are these the renewed daniel's brand you are watching?

Yea I believe so. There was a SFO for one of the FB groups and I was a little surprised when I saw the price tag and thought maybe it was just for that run, but after digging around it looks like theyre kind of all fairly expensive from a retail perspective.

yes i have seen that ad actually. it was referring to Titusville and I thought, really? thought there was only one outfit left in Titusville. They seem to be a bit bit pricey to me, to pricey to buy un-examined. I was more curious to see if this would be the return of the Daniel's.

Even though it’s going to be a giraffe bone cover there are going to be 150 and should be cheaper imo.

I've been eyeballing them as well. I probably don't really need another brand to chase, but the Old Man Norman Barlows look pretty good. Some of the burnt stag I've seen look great while others had really wonky handles - for $300 I would have been disappointed. At $200 I would likely already have pulled the trigger. If there are some available when I'm in a purchasing lull, I'll probably try to get one.

I may be mistaken but I believe that the current Tuna Valley knives are made by various custom knife makers.

If that’s the case, it makes the high prices a little easier to understand.
