Tungsten sharpening steel?

Does any one have any experience with the sharpening steels made out of tungsten? They seem like a quick way to hone a knife but are rather expensive.

You could try TIG electrode.

Nice. There's a clever thought. Although the small grooves in the tungsten steel are ideal.
