Tuning after reassembly?

Hi folks,

I took apart my Manix (the back-locking kind) to give it a really proper cleaning from all the silly grime and lint from use. Got it back together allright, no leftover parts in a bag here, heh. :D

Need some advice as to how to tune up the action properly. Can't tighten the lockbar and blade pivots too much or it becomes too heavy to open and the blade wont snap back in the frame when closing. Loosening up too much leaves an annoying gap between liner and lockbar.

Which pivot is best to adjust first, blade or lockbar? There's a fine balance there somewhere that I need to find before I Loctite it firm. I thought all you seasoned disassembly/reassembly veterans might know.

What I do is slightly over tighten it, back it off, then i come up really slow to the right point where it has no play or gap.

Start with the back loose and get the pivot right.

also I find that when I take my knives apart, they need a little time to break in again before the action is smooth and nice
