Hi, folks. I'm not sure if this is worth 25 minutes of your life, but I made it, anyway.

Good video. You've covered pretty much everything I did to tune up and improve the action and centering of my own Vantage. It actually took me a while to figure out the fact that the liners have a tiny bit of play (the scales too), and that by nudging them you can affect the blade centering. This is a great guide for those who want to tinker with their Vantages but aren't sure how to go about doing so.

Gundamaniac, thanks a lot for taking the time to watch the video! I'm afraid it's a bit too long, but I didn't want to leave out too much info. I appreciate your feedback as well.

Thank you, Dogstar, for the great instructions. I'll do it with my vantage too soon. I hope the flipper will work as yours later.
Best,
Haebbie

Hi, folks. I'm not sure if this is worth 25 minutes of your life, but I made it, anyway.

I have the same knife and did basically the same thing you did. The knife I purchased had almost no finishing and had very sharp G10 edges and all the metal edges were very sharp as well. I could actually shave wood with the back side of the blade!! Funny how the things in your video are spot on to what I experienced in my "tuning". I took it a step further and sanded and polished everything. *note* polishing S30V is VERY time consuming. Turned out nice. I looks more like a gentlemans folder now than ever before.

Sounds really nice. Got a photo?
