To keep the knife content up. I'll be carving my turkey using a Stag Handled Carving set made early in the 20th Century in Sheffield England.

Mostly what I wanted to say is Everybody have a Happy Thanksgiving. Be safe and keep your tools sharp.

Mike

Have a similar set-up. Sheffield, stag handled knife, fork & steel.
Putting a good edge on it tonight :D
Gonna cut that bird up reeeeaaaallll niiiicceee.

Stag handled bowie should work well plus it will scare the SHAT out of the inlaws!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY,

I was going to pull out this electric knife I got as a wedding present... Just kidding! My step-father-in-law will probably cut up the bird. I think he uses a big Henckels type carving knife. I cringe when he pulls out the electric sharpener and runs the blade through it. That brings up a question, how good are those electric sharpeners?? :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hey! Forget carving the turkey, who's going to take out a live turkey with one of their knives? :D

A happy thanksgiving to all you YANKS. Unfortunately we don't have a similar holiday/festive occasion but I will be carving at yuletide - I think ham this year - it's going to be a bloody hot summer - my blue willow ham slicer should do the trick steeled on my authentic sheffield steel with stag handle.

My set is an old stag handled Boker, fork and knife, too bad Thanksgiving isn´t commonly celebrated in Mexico, I´ll have to wait till Christmass.

I wish you all a nice day and dinner.
