Anybody planning on using one of their outdoor knives to do up the turkey this year?

Depending on who shows up, I'm thinking of using my Blackjack Panga or my Spyderco Forester. Should make an impression.

How about you folks?

I use whatever Busse I have at the time for birthdays and turkey day. These are from the last 2 years.

It will be my Battle Mistress this year, and I'm hoping I'll have a Fiddleback Bow Legged Chopper for next year.

I realy dont have a suitable outdoor blade for carving the Turkey....

Id really like to get something from Koyote for carving though.....His knives seem like they would excell at that.

I am thinking of using my hudson bay from Stomper. Should make short work of that pesky turkey!

Ive used my fillet knives in the past. I picked up an old Chicago Cutlery fillet knife from an antique store. Ill give it a go this time around.

I rather use a dedicated carving knife. It does a nicer job.

Although I can see the one poster using a fillet knife could work very well

The fine edge and hollow ground blade of my 7.5" Buck 120 'General' was perfect, if you ask me, for turkey carving at the m-i-l's last year. She wasn't as impressed - and went back to her serrated butcher bladed piece from a $10 kitchen set at a flea market. Mine finely sliced - her's shredded. It was her turkey...

The 6" 119 'Special', a $34 WallyWorld buy, has been my main butcher knife.

Sadly.....whatever they provide me on my plane ride. Will be flying for 2 days to get home on turkey day. If I had my choice though it would most likely be my Fiddleback bushcrafter.
