My family is located with in 15 miles of a Norbest Turkey plant which has a really nice Outlet store. Well a few months ago my mom bought 20 pounds of scapula (meat off of the Sholder blades) and stored it in the freezer. about 10 days ago my mom made a HUGE batch of Turkey Jurkey out of it.
Most is unseasoned (do to, we ran out of my dad's Seasoning) and some was marinated in some Teryaki sause. Even though it's a little bland, I really like it. If anyone wants to try something a little different, you should make some Turkey Jurky. It is quite good.
Yvsa, I know how you like turkey, so, would you be interested in some? If my mom didn't add salt (not sure if she did, but I'll be asking her when I pick some up in the next few days).
