Turkish knives. this bad?

Im now on my vacations 6 miles north Bodrum, Turkey. Everithyng is exiting (but where's my big glass of tea i've ordered half a hour back! )
I even found a small local knifeshop and was really disappointed - folders w/stag handles, filmsy locks and blades of dubious steel are what threy mostly sell. Maybe its just crap for tourists... I'm happy i took my Endura with me (FRN, freshly reprofiled to 30deg inclusive)

I am going to Turkey soon. I am trying to find out if having a pocket knife is legal. It sounds like you could have purchased one, and you brought one with you so I take it there was no problem???

Know nothing about Turkish laws, but they are VERY loyal to tourists.
I think if you not wielding your knife on public any folder is okay.
Mayybe posters from this thread could help?
