My friend Iz made me this knife in November. It is the only sheath knife I have used since then. It is an absolutely great knife. I know I don't have a lot of posts on this forum, but I know a good knife when I use one. I have been a canoe guide in MN, as well as a winter skills instructor for the civilian world. After that I was a Survival Instructor in the USAF. I don't say this to brag, I say it to back up opinion of this knife. Thanks for looking.

A nice knife, two cool dogs, some venison, and Flogging Molly to top it off. Outstanding!!

All it needs is a good Ale and it'd be my new favorite movie :D.

Awesome video's! Just watched the Lightweight Reflector Oven video, "probably not isosceles, stay in school", that killed me! Nice knife as well.

Great lookin blade IA.....Iz is a cool guy. I need to meet up with him and go for a hike(since hes only 40min from me!)....I might make it up to KC for the winter camp just for a day though...

Of all Izs blades Ive seen, I can say he makes a damn nice knife. They all look like great users. Esp this one!!!

Great video once again!

I think this was the knife I drooled about a few months ago. And have you considered teaching skills again? You are centrally located.

Hey IA. Great looking knife you have there.

I too, liked the Ray Mears Woodslore knife. but the wait time and the cost is crazy. So I decided to make one somewhat like it.
Here is the one I made last spring. With a few blade and handle changes lol. I wanted a little longer blade to and just a tad wider.

I did the scandi look vrs doing the convex grind for the one I made.

Rescue Riley has a knife that he got from I think it was DP knives that has the same features and really in the handle shape like the one you got and the one I made. I know RR says he really likes his knife for bushcrafting.

Say your PM mode is off. Did you know that or did you turn it off on purpose?
Just wondering wanted to PM ya but could not.

Glad you like the knife. Yes I have considered teaching again. My outlet right now is going to Bushcraft meets and doing youtube. I might do some classes in the future.

Good stuff IA. Your straight forward simple approach mirrors Pete Kummerfeldt's method of instruction. Go figure considering your shared AFSC. I really appreciate your axemanship. Keep 'em coming!

If I remember right he was Chief Kummerfeldt when I was in.
