Hey folks,
Just curious if anyone has used BM's sharpening service recently, and what the turn around time was?
Thanks!
D

Sent in 2 knives about a month ago or so... turn around was less than 2 weeks for me, which was about average from my experience.

Yeah, the first time I sent in one, it was my only one, so I ordered a 2nd before I did so I wouldn't be without haha...

Or some sharpening equipment... I could get a much better edge out of a $40 Lansky system than the factory could put on my knives. Bonus: No turn around time or burnt edges.
Thanks! have to look into the Lansky System, maybe its clutz proof Lol....

I'm don't have a natural talent when it comes to sharpening but I must say the Spyderco Sharpmaker has helped me become more consistent in my sharpening. I bought the diamond and extra fine rods, which are really nice.

This is yet another great reason to buy another. If we rotate two of them in they can stay sharper longer; and with a system like the Lansky, Sharpmaker and others you can get the edge you want.

After years of ownership I still send in models to the factory on a random basis for service. Some of the tool steels like D2 aren't easy even with practice. Happy Holidays to everyone!
