Ok, after reading these threads on why I must have a Sebenza, I gave in and bought one. Longest infomercial in the world (and effective). It should be shipping tomorrow.

It is a large cocobolo classic.

I would like to get a swedge and the titanium insert. What is the approximate turn-around time for this?

Thanks.

It shouldn't take too long given their excellent customer service but I suggest that you call CRK directly and get an idea from them. They are usually able to give a fairly good estimate as to turnaround time based on issues such as backlog and general work load. BTW, congrats fellow Tar Heel!!! It sounds like you made an excellent purchase. Be sure to post some before and after pics once the Sebbie gets back from CRK. ;)

Thanks. Will do.

I am working with Vess on a sheath with a flap with a celtic cross design. I'll post the before pics and the whole package when it comes together.

I am just glad I did not get sniped on ebay!

Actually you probably don't need a swedge on the Classic blade. I once called Bridget to see about having a swedge put on one and she told me that it is kinda lost on the Classic due to the pointier blade to begin with. As far as the insert it is an item you can order from CRK and put on yourself.

Congrats on the large wood inlaid Classic............it's my favorite and the cocobolo wood is a very nice pick!

Thanks for the tip.

I will regret doing this after searching the threads and seeing all the varying opinions, but do I need double thumblugs? More specifically, do they compliment the looks of the wood classic? Are there any wood owners with both single and double luggers that can help on this important life decision?

No, you don't need the double thumblugs. I have inlays with both the single and double thumblug. The double thumblug may be a bit more versatile but I think the single stud has a cleaner apperance. :) :p

Thanks. I will wait a while before I make that move.

I just spoke with Stephanie at CRK and ordered the insert. What a great person. They have first rate customer service!

The customer is servie is great. I ordered an older leather sheath and an insert 3 weeks ago on Monday, and was delivered on Friday. Super service.
