Turn around time on spa treatment?

Tomorrow I'll be sending in 4 knifes for a spa treatment. A large unique stainless damascus Sebenza, A small unique high carbon damascus Sebenza,(the 2 knives on my icon) a damascus mnandi and a standard Umnumzaan. I use all these knives and they show it. I do appreciate a good worn looking knife, but I'll never sell these and I want them looking spiffy. Question is what is the expected turn around time? I don't like being without my CRK's.

Workload changes all the time - the only way to know is to call. They won't bite. :D

Per the CRK instructions on sending in your knife: "Once your knife is received it is usually fixed up and on its way back within 2 weeks. That period is an estimate and can take longer or on rare occasions not so long."

Waiting is always hard. :( I find I usually forget about the waiting after I get the knife (or whatever) back, though. :)

Sent them out today. Already getting withdrawals. It dawned on me after I sent them that I should have done a before and after photo thread. Oh well, I'll post some pics after they get the treatment. I hope it's not much more than 2 weeks.

Sending them all out is a good excuse to get another! That will satisfy the withdrawals.

My babies finally came home. Good as new. Had perforated washer installed on the Sebenzas. Cleaned, greased, sharpened and it feels like the lock bars have been adjusted. They also put on new lanyards. Here they are for the first time in public. Sorry for the iPhone pic. Turn around time was just over 5 weeks. I can live with that.

Waiting is really hard. Around week three I would look out the windows constantly for the big brown truck.

Wow 5 weeks huh? Thats a little surprising to me. I hate to say it but Strider (in my one experience) is quicker. (I am now ducking to avoid flaming piles of poo thrown at me lol)

No flaming piles of poo coming your way. I guess Chris is just a lot busier than Mick;). And I did send 4 blades at once. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.

lol very true, it might have. He could just be really busy in shop, filling orders or making slight changes.
