ok, i have a mini ambush in which the spring is broke. for fun i thought i would take the blade out and make a fixed blade. i have never attempted anything like this.

are there any handles that can be bought cheaply? any resources pointing to how to do it myself?

thanks

I've never welded stainless before.

I suppose you could use the knifes own scales as a template for handle shape and scale shape.

If you are feeling adventurous you might even try drilling your tang and finding screws that go through the existing holes. add epoxy and you should be good to go with a stock looking knife.

aww, crap

my terminology is off - yep, i'm just looking for some way to make it an "unfolder" :D

looking to mount it in some handles

Why not just leave it open?
There is no tang to attach a handle to, so no strength would be gained.

yeah, sometime the obvious escapes me!

i came to this same conclusion a little bit ago. i was kinda itching to try something new, the more i thought about it, the stupider it seemed.

while i was thinking about how to take the lock out () it hit me to leave it open! :o
