I have two old and well worn Spydercos. I am contemplating just sending them in, but would like to try something on my own. They are an old C15 Terzuola, and a Jess Horn lightweight. The Horn had the tip broken off, and the C15 is well worn. Both are combo edges. I got the plain edge on the C15 razor sharp, and it cuts really well. Still working on the serrations. The reverse is true on the Horn. The serrations are in pretty good shape, but while the plain edge is better, it has a long way to go to razor sharp. These were taken on as projects.
Some makers and shops will put serrations on plain edge blades. Which makers/shops out there will change serrations to plain edges? Is there any way to keep the cutouts of the serrations, thereby not removing as much of the blade?
