The white is now a narrow angle LED; no other Photon has this feature. Don't fret, just give the turquoise one to any woman; it is the favorite color of women.
I learned this from my daughter, as I had just discovered the phenomenon of chromatic aberration: the fact that light of various wavelengths is focused differently by your eye, and that the short wavelengths (blue, turquoise, and the old white) are focused in front of the retina resulting in a blurred image. At about 8 feet or beyond, this phenomenon is noticeable; print that is sharp with a red or orange Photon is blurred with a blue or turquoise or the old white (which had much more energy in the short wavelengths than the new narrow angle). I had my daughter's younger eyes confirm this, and later asked her what colors to get for various people for gifts. She told me to give the turquoise to all of the women; I reminded her of the chromatic aberration, and she replied, 'trust me, dad, it is a girl thing.' She was absolutely correct.
