Thanks for welcome! My name is Jiri "Turtle" Hrala,27 years old.. im from small land in the heart of Europe, named Czech republic..I made knives about three years, but cold weapons is my love from a child..Now i study how to be blacksmith in Turnov arts and crafts school..Im in my forge everyday in a week, forging damascus or normal blades from tool steel O1,O2, D2, RWL-34,Damasteel, old rusty springs and other stuff..Yes, knives is all my life:D here is my web www.knivesbyturtle.com there s more:)

finished work..forged stainless steel, a lot of rivets, leather..crazy looking sheath pierced by arrow:D i make that type of sheath for the first time, its no big deal..

That is some fine work! All look very well done. I particularly like remains of the forging at the tops of the blades. Great job! :thumbup:

"Mangrove" 4,7" damascus blade, mangrove root,copper..mangrove root is the hardest and most tenacious wood i ever seen..work abilities and the grip arent limited by the surface cracks..

Those are outstanding, very beautiful work my friend!

I hope to travel to the Czech Republic soon (i have some friends who will be moving there to work, so I intend to visit them within the next year or so.) I hear it is quite a beautiful place :thumbup:

BTW As you live in Prague you should make an appointment with my friend Karel "cosco" Koèi (or Koci). He lives in Prague is a very skilled part time maker :thumbup: and sometimes meets and works with well known smith Petr Dohnal. :D

Yes, Petr and Karel are my good friends.:) Karel sometimes visit my forge:)
