Cool knife and sheath. Talk about forging to shape. I don't think that thing ever touched a grinder! Good job.

After forging rough outline, incurve the blade..Forge curvature if needed. Methodically, left and right side of shape.Small place (forging die cube to anvil 3x3" ) is for start this method better.Clear blade and anvil before every step..(Sorry about my halting english, its long time from last conversation)

You did well with both of those - man, that bowie is a beast! Thanks for the peek.

Roger

I like the shape of the blade on that bowie.

Great looking knives. Love the look of the bowie, sucks about the little nick in the blade but that'll sharpen out I am sure. That Khukri looks awesome and I really like the leather sheath that it comes with. Both great looking knives.

I do that little nick on purpose..He gives old look to new bowie:) Oldschool artifact, stuff of the killer named "Man from Van Diemen land" from Glanton gang ...

Inspiration from Cormac McCarthy book "Blood Meridian".

One of my favorite books, and you definitely captured the spirit of the scalp hunters in that big, raw-looking Bowie; right down to what looks like dried human ears on the scabbard!

Excellent work! Fit for "the Judge."
