Hi Guys, I just signed up and need to know if there are any very basic tutorials on roughing out a blade blank prior to sending it off for treatment,
I have a good piece of stainless (forget the no. right now) and want to start on a couple blades with minimal investment in tools. I have way more time than money and can hog of the material with grinders/files till I get started, don't know if I will be in the hobby long as my main interest is bamboo flyrods and that takes most of my time. Thank's Saud

You will probably get a better response in the Knife Maker's/Shop Talk sections. There is much information there about knife making and other shop topics.

The tutorial kind of depends on the tools you have. I remember there was a good tutorial for people that only have super basic tools; drill, hacksaw, clamps, file, sandpaper.
