TV Bowie Question...

James Arness played the mountain man, head of the clan. He carried an awesome stag handled bowie (along with some equally awesome buckskins)...
I was wondering if it was a custom, & if so whose?

Hi Ebbtide, that knife was a Western Cutlery Crown Stag Bowie. They have been discontinued, but there are still a few NIB here and there...

Another bit of info I stumbled across, Western made all those crown stick bowies with extra long crown sticks so they could be used comfortably by left handers too.
