TV show about UFOs from the late 70's Anybody remember

When I was a kid in elementary school maybe 5th or 6th grade which would have been around 1976 there was a Tv series on about reported UFO sightings. The show focused on unresolved cases from the air forces Project Blue Book investigations. It would dramatize the incidents kind of like the tv show unsolved mysteries did.

Does anybody else remember this show? It probably only lasted a season maybe only 13 episodes.
 
In Search of. Was a show like that, but had a different subject every week. UFOs, bigfoot, and religious topics like Noah's Arc.
 
I remember that show from when I was a kid - I believe it was actually called "Project Bluebook." I was always disappointed at the end when the two investigator characters would come up with plausible explanations for the sightings.

I think both those shows, Project UFO and In Search Of (Nimoy rocks) started me in to the study of science and conspiracy theory.

While the science part has been very handy the other not so much ;)
 
The other day I saw the complete series of IN Search Of at Walmart for $ 5.It was in one of those bins that you have to dig through.
 
Thanks guys, I knew someone here would remember it. I'm sure if I saw it now It would look hokey. Hell I remember one episode where they used a model from the tv series space 1999 for one of the UFOs! But for a 10 year old kid the show was cool.

Oh my gosh, are you kidding? Real People, That's Incredible, Carol Burnet Show, Barnaby Jones ("I wouldn't touch that if I were you, I'm a pretty good shot"), Emergency, The Muppet Show.........I could go on.







On second thought, strike all that....except for Carol Burnet.
 
I thought it was Project Bluebook. I too was always kind of pissed off that they wrote everything off to weather balloons and swamp gas.

I LOVED Space 1999. They had those cool brass knuckle looking laser guns. And for some strange reason I thought that older chick was hot. And I was like 9 or 10. Maybe it was some kind of weird oedipal thing.
