Hi. I saw a tv show a couple of months ago on one of the major networks.
The plot line followed a female soldier who had recently returned from duty in Iraq. She gets in a fight in a hotel lobby. She befriends a hooker.
I can't remember the name of the show and haven't run across it since.
Does anybody remember seeing this?

Yeah it was a spin off of 60 minuets. It was called America through the eyes of traitors.

Its called "Over There" and is played on the History Channel. Its on Tuesdays at 9pm where I am (Vancouver BC, Canada)

No - I'm not thinking of "Over There" - I just read this show will not be renewed.
It's a different show.

Are ya sure its not "Over There" averageguy? there is one episode exactly like what you described. The female character, "Ms. B", goes state side to see her son who she learns is sick. While back in the states, she goes awol (cant remember why)and flees to L.A. (or Hollywood, or somewhere in Cali). She is able to get a room at a motel but as she returns to the motel lobby one evening she is approached by a pimp. He tries to hire her but she kicks his ass. Ms. B then befriends a hooker for some reason (cant recall why). At the end of the show Ms. B goes to a recruiting officeand asks the recruiter for help.... If this aint your show Averageguy, then they stole the script for it as it matches your description pretty well.:D

Hey TLC, I think its the same show.

Anyways AVGguy, happy hunting

You guys are obviously right. I've watched "Over There" a few times and I didn't recognize this as the same show. Just so different from the other episodes I've seen. Thanks.
