Does anyone know what knife(and knife type...butcher style old west?) was used to skin and field dress the buffalo? I think I want one. :D

I gotta say..for the couple of minutes I watched that segment, I was entertained. Looks like a show to check out.
' As far as the knife goes..could be anything from an ML knives Nesmuck to whoever else you can think of. I couldnt tell.

Why did he put the fur on the outside. Besides the obvious fact you are going to get blood and guts on you, the fur will soak up a massive amount of water, weighing it down even further. Am I the only one with this opinion?

I'm about 99 % certain it a Jeff White Nessmuk. I own one and I got a good shot off the handle watching the show. It looks like the same wood choices Jeff gives you along with the same handle shape and brass pins.Plus blade color and finish. The only thing I think might have been different was thickness. The TV blade looked a little thicker than mine does, but can't prove it. The sheath was not the standerd one. I love this knife, it has become one of my favorite kitchen knives. Not kidding I used it this evening to carve our turkey dinner. I often use it for all kinds of food prep. I'll be taken it with me on the next camping trip even if it's only for camp cooking. IMO this thing might make a decent little bushcraft knife, could be a little thicker for that purpose, say 3/16 but as is not bad. My grohman survival covers that bill though.

Cool show. Im diggin it. I love his outlook on hunting.

Looks like a nessie. Too many makers out there making the same style blade with the same scale on, and the same brass pins to tell who made that one.

Here is Matt's response:

"Hi Jason Thank you for sending the link.

I'm not to sure??
Kinda hard to tell watching..I tried slowing it down but it to tough
for me to call..

Thanks again

Matt"

That is what I think too....
